成都画院成立于1980年，是一所专门从事美术创作研究的文化事业单位。早在1000多年前，成都就云集中 原书画高手，创建了中国历史上第一所画院。现有十几位著名的国画、油画、版画艺术家和其它美术研究人员。 从1980年到1997年17年间，画院举办了六届“成都画院书画展览”，并与各地书画院举办联展。曾选送了上千 幅作品参加国内外各种类型画展100多次，许多画家先后在日本、德国、新加坡和香港、台湾地区多次举办个人 画展，还出版个人画集，其中1人的作品获国际奖。在全国范围内的重要美展以及各种类型的专题画展中，有36 人次获奖。在四川省级各种画展中，有42人次获奖。画院还在全省聘请了20位德高望重的著名老书画家为艺术顾 问。同时，开展对外文化交流活动，经常接待国内外美术家代表团和美术史学者、著名书画家的访问，组织学术 讲座，一些画家应邀赴各地区及国外进行学术访问活动。十多年来，在不同的历史时期不同的新兴艺术潮流中， 成都画院的画家都创作出了有影响力的作。
Brief Introduction of Chengdu Art
Academy Chengdu Art Academy was founded in 1980. It is a cultural unit specialized in fine art research and creation. More than 1,000 years ago, the first imperial art academy in chinese history was established here, gathering many masters of calligraphy and painting coming from middle China. There are more than ten Chinese-painting paintists, oil paintists, woodcutists and the other fine art researchers. It held six times' Calligraphy and Painting Works Exhibition of Chengdu Art Academy from 1980 to 1997. There were no less than 1,000 pieces of works taken part in more than 100 times' exhibitions at home and abroad. Many paintists held personal painting exhibitions in Japan, Germany, Singapore, Hongkong and Taiwan successively. Their albums have been published. One of them won the international prize. 36 paintists won prizes in the national significant exhibitions and special painting exhibitions. 42 paintists won prizes in Sichuan provincial variouse painting exhibitions. It has invited 20 high prestigious, well-known, provincial calligraphers and paintists as consultants. Meanwhile, it holds culture exchange and accepts artists delegations, scholars of art history, famouse calligraphers and paintists. It also holds seminars. Some paintists have been invited to go abroad for academic visiting. Facing diferent new art trend, the paintists of Chengdu Art Academy have produced effective works for this period.
